About The Role

This is not a typical QA role.

We are looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career in product development, quality assurance and manufacturing, with the potential to grow into a future QA & R&D Manager role.

You will work on the formulation, testing and manufacture of toothpaste, mouthwash and breath spray products for the Pearlie White brand, gaining exposure to R&D, quality systems, regulatory affairs and manufacturing operations. Along the way, you will receive mentorship from experienced oral care R&D and manufacturing professionals while taking on increasing responsibility over time.

Responsibilities

Product Development & R&D

• Assist in the formulation and development of toothpaste, mouthwash and breath spray products.

• Prepare laboratory batches, pilot batches and developmental samples.

• Conduct stability, compatibility and product performance testing.

• Support the scale-up of formulations from laboratory to commercial production.

• Evaluate new and alternative raw materials.

• Maintain laboratory records and development documentation.

• Support troubleshooting of formulation and manufacturing issues.

Quality Assurance

• Conduct testing of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.

• Perform incoming raw material inspections and maintain quality records.

• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure GMP compliance.

• Investigate product quality issues and customer complaints.

• Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities.

• Assist with internal quality audits and continuous improvement projects.

Regulatory & Documentation

• Maintain specifications, SOPs and quality documentation.

• Support product registrations in Singapore and overseas markets.

• Assist in preparing and maintaining Product Information Files (PIFs).

• Support GMP, Halal, ISO and regulatory compliance activities.

Laboratory Operations

• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.

• Coordinate testing with external laboratories.

• Manage laboratory inventory and sample retention.

• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safety standards.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of GMP and quality management systems is required.

• Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in oral care, cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing will be an advantage.

• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Interest in developing a long-term career in QA, R&D and manufacturing.

Working Hours and Location

• Permanent full-time position.

• Working hours: Mon to Thu 8am to 6pm, Fri 8am to 5pm.

• Our manufacturing facility is currently located in the Serangoon / Ang Mo Kio area.

• Please note that the facility is expected to relocate to the Jurong / Boon Lay area towards the end of 2027.
