As a Course Consultant , you will engage corporate clients, HR and L&D professionals, business leaders and other key stakeholders to understand their organisation's training and workforce development needs.
You will provide consultative guidance on suitable courses and training programmes, helping organisations identify relevant learning solutions to support employee development, digital transformation and business objectives.
You will manage prospective corporate clients throughout the sales journey, from initial outreach and needs discovery through solution recommendation, proposal, negotiation and enrolment.
What You'll DoEngage corporate clients, HR leaders, L&D professionals and business stakeholders to understand their workforce development, skills and training needs.
Conduct training needs analysis and consultative discussions to identify relevant learning requirements and business priorities.
Recommend and present suitable courses and learning solutions based on the client's business objectives and employee development needs.
Advise clients on relevant training programmes, course content, learning outcomes and potential development pathways.
Develop tailored learning proposals and presentations for corporate clients and their teams.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients through regular engagement, follow-up and account development.
Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, outbound outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
Manage prospective and existing corporate accounts from initial engagement and discovery through proposal, negotiation, enrolment and ongoing relationship management.
Handle client enquiries, objections and concerns professionally, providing appropriate solutions to support the decision-making process.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline, prioritise high-value prospects and consistently follow up on opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, proposals and sales activities in the CRM.
Identify opportunities for repeat business, cross-selling, upselling and continued employee training across Vertical Institute's course offerings.
Collaborate with internal programme and delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client requirements and can be delivered effectively.
Stay updated on Vertical Institute's courses, industry trends, emerging technologies and workforce skills needs to provide relevant and informed recommendations.
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales and revenue targets.
What We're Looking For
Experience in B2B sales, business development, corporate sales, account management, consultative sales or a related client-facing role .
Experience engaging HR, L&D, business leaders, department heads or other corporate decision-makers is preferred.
Strong consultative selling and needs-analysis skills, with the ability to understand business challenges and recommend suitable solutions.
Experience managing the full sales cycle , from prospecting and discovery through proposal, negotiation and closing.
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Comfortable conducting outbound prospecting through calls, email, LinkedIn, networking and other business development channels.
Commercially driven, proactive and comfortable working towards individual and team sales targets.
Strong pipeline management and follow-up discipline, with the ability to prioritise high-value opportunities.
Comfortable using CRM systems and digital communication tools to manage sales activities and client relationships.
Experience in corporate training, education, technology, HR, professional services, consulting, SaaS or other solution-based industries is advantageous.
A genuine interest in helping organisations develop their workforce and adopt relevant skills for the evolving digital economy.
