Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and coordinate food preparation activities.
- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking procedures.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and stock rotation of food ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering kitchen supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant environment.
- Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
- Ability to prepare a variety of dishes while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Experience in supervising or guiding kitchen staff is an advantage.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Responsible, reliable, and committed to maintaining high food quality standards.
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
