Our client, a Japanese company specialising in marine equipment and engineering services, is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Sales function and drive sustainable revenue growth, customer development, and market expansion within the maritime sector.
【 Responsibilities 】
- Lead and develop the Sales team to achieve the company’s business objectives.
- Monitor individual and team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement appropriate action plans.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing sales culture that supports professional development and continuous improvement.
- Provide Management with regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and market insights.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Understand customer requirements and collaborate with the technical and operational teams to provide appropriate solutions.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen the company’s customer base within the maritime sector.
- Attend maritime exhibitions, conferences, industry events, and client meetings to strengthen the company’s market presence and generate new business opportunities.
- Manage contract and agreement negotiations through to successful closure.
- Monitor customer behaviour, vessel movements, fleet activities, and market developments to anticipate customer needs and identify potential business opportunities.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, customer behaviour, and industry developments, and provide Management with actionable insights and recommendations.
【 What You Will Receive 】
- Variable Bonus (Based on company and individual performance - on average approximately 3 months)

【Requirements & Preferences】
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- More than five years of sales experience, including experience in team management.
- Strong leadership and people development skills.
- Strong capabilities in strategic planning, market analysis, and competitive research.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated and analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure consistent follow-through.
- Willingness and ability to travel overseas when required.
