We are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveying Manager to support the management of commercial and contractual activities for construction projects from pre-contract through post-contract stages. The role will support cost control, procurement, contract administration, project profitability, and the development of the Quantity Surveying team.
Responsibilities
- Manage quantity surveying, cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration activities.
- Review quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documentation, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare and monitor cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, cost forecasts, and project profitability.
- Evaluate tenders, support subcontractor procurement and negotiations, and prepare award recommendations.
- Administer interim payments, variations, EOTs, contractual claims, and final accounts.
- Identify commercial risks, cost-saving opportunities, and value engineering initiatives.
- Lead commercial discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- Provide technical guidance, review, and mentoring to Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors.
- Prepare commercial and management reports on project cost and financial performance.
- Ensure commercial activities comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and relevant industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7–8 years of relevant quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
