Job Title: Sales Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Director of Sales and Distributions in establishing a sales plan and budget to reflect the company’s and the hotel’s goals and objectives.
- Maintains and upgrades communication networks to ensure that the hotel has a competitive advantage in information and sales leads.
- Conducts market analysis and devises strategies for generating new business.
- Analyses the sales results and recommends ways to improve sales.
- Furnishes monthly sales reports on a timely basis.
- Achieves budgeted room night quotas and average rates set out in the yearly business plan for the hotel.
- Manage assigned portfolio, establish sales goals and strategies, handle sales activities, inquiries, site inspections, entertainment and negotiation to convert leads into definite business
- Maintain valid call objectives and relevant action plans for each key account/key prospect and ensure all follow-up is done in a timely manner.
- To establish and maintain rapport with clients to encourage repeat business.
- Draft proposals & conduct meetings with clients.
- Communicating client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments as required ensures the delivery of superior guest service.
- Maintain files, current trace dates, accurate history and all relevant booking activity.
- Participate in daily and/or weekly Sales meetings as assigned.
- Builds and strengthens relationships with existing (Dusit Gold & Golf Members) and new customers to enable future bookings.
- Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
- Able to generate various reports from Travelclick to Opera to track FITs, Groups & Events.
- Maintain up-to-date activity and room night production of each account for rooms and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years room sales experience in the hospitality industry.
- Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel.
- Possesses professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
