Sales Manager – Job Description
Job Summary
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the company's sales operations by developing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, achieving revenue targets, and driving business growth. The role oversees the sales team, identifies new market opportunities, negotiates contracts, and works closely with other departments to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue and growth objectives.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand the customer base.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and periodic performance reports for management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify business opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements with customers.
- Develop sales plans and promotional campaigns to increase market share.
- Coordinate with marketing, finance, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Monitor sales performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by resolving customer issues and maintaining service standards.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate sales personnel to improve productivity and performance.
- Manage customer accounts, sales pipelines, and business development activities using CRM systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and applicable Singapore regulations.
- Prepare and present sales presentations, proposals, and business reviews to senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in sales management, business development, or commercial operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets and manage key customer accounts.
- Experience in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
