Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Illumina
Illumina seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for its Singapore facility to develop cutting-edge sequencing instruments. The role involves board-level circuit design, system modeling, failure analysis, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform board-level design addressing complexity, power, thermal, and size constraints
- Execute parameter analysis, system modeling, simulation, and troubleshooting activities
- Lead failure analysis and develop containment and permanent solutions
- Design and implement instrument-level telemetry systems with firmware and software teams
- Identify and mitigate electromagnetic interference and compatibility issues during design
Requirements
- 5+ years hands-on electrical engineering experience or equivalent
- Strong analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design expertise
- System design, simulation, and modeling capabilities
- Data analysis and cable assembly design knowledge
- Familiarity with IEEE, ISO, and NEMA industry standards
- BS in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience, or MS with 3+ years
- Leadership ability and excellent communication skills
