About the Role
A primary school in the Bishan / Ang Mo Kio area is seeking a Receptionist to support its front-desk, sick bay and general administrative operations.
The role involves serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, supporting students who require assistance at the sick bay, and ensuring that daily reception activities are carried out efficiently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the reception counter and attend to telephone calls, enquiries and visitors.
- Receive, sort, file and distribute correspondence and mail.
- Receive and record deliveries, and route items to the relevant staff or departments.
- Support daily sick bay operations and provide basic first aid to students when required.
- Process and maintain records for early student dismissals.
- Manage lost-and-found items and related enquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the reception and sick bay areas.
- Monitor sick bay supplies and ensure that essential items are adequately stocked.
- Assist with packing and relocation preparations when required.
- Perform other administrative or operational duties assigned by the school.
Requirements
- GCE ‘N’ Level qualification or equivalent.
- At least two years of relevant experience in reception, front-desk support or general administration.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Able to perform basic word processing and data-entry tasks.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with school staff.
- Basic first aid knowledge.
Previous experience working in a school environment, particularly a primary school, would be an advantage.
Work Arrangements
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.30pm, inclusive of a one-hour lunch break.
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays or gazetted public holidays.
