The Role
We're looking for a Regional Business Director APAC to lead the Centre of Excellence for one of our largest global client - a role that sits at the intersection of strategic consulting, digital transformation, and senior client stewardship. You'll set the strategic agenda for one of OMD's most important regional relationships, while local markets own campaign execution. An Associate Director will report to you, with a Strategy Director available on-demand. You'll also partner closely with OMD APAC leadership - the CEO, Executive Director – Client Success, Chief Strategy Officer -on client growth and transformation initiatives across the region. This is a high-visibility seat with real influence and a fast track for the right person. You'll report jointly to the GM, OMD Singapore and the Executive Director – Client Success OMD APAC.
What You'll Do
Lead the region. Own strategic account leadership and business management end-to-end. Engage senior stakeholders - CEOs, CSOs, COOs, MDs, GMs - across client, agency network, and marketing partners, and translate business objectives into clear consumer insight and media outcomes. Read the cultural and market nuances across APAC well enough to know when to push, when to adapt, and how to get local teams the insight and process they need to deliver. Guide local markets in bringing regional strategy to life, and keep an eye on the numbers - organic and OOS profitability targets across the region.
Drive what's next. Partner with APAC's digital, programmatic, data, and tech teams - plus regional marketing partners — to launch and track in-market digital acceleration programs. Publish thought leadership that sharpens the region's point of view and strengthens our standing with clients. Bring APAC-first, award-worthy thinking that moves the needle on client growth and ROI.
What You Bring
• Min 12 years in media planning, with a track record on large accounts ($30M+ billings)
• Experience leading a team
• Breadth across media and marketing disciplines is a strong plus
• A track record of distilling complex problems into clear direction for senior stakeholders - and stepping confidently beyond your immediate area of expertise to get there
• Cross-cultural fluency - genuine emotional intelligence and the range to influence stakeholders across markets, working styles, and cultural norms across APAC
• The gravitas to hold your ground with clients or creative partners, backed by sharp, diplomatic judgment • Confidence presenting to large, senior audiences - clearly, and under pressure
• The ability to juggle multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities without losing pace
• Strong opinions about great communications, and the drive to consistently exceed expectations
