Job Description
- Industry/ Organization Type: Logistics, Transportation, and Supply Chain Industry
- Position Title: Ocean Freight Import Officer
- Working Location: Toh Guan
- Working Hours: 5 days (Monday – Friday, 08:15 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Salary Package: Basic Salary + Bonus
- Duration: Permanent Role
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate sea import shipments
- Ensure accurate customer documentation and compliance with safety procedures
- Prepare and process import documents (e.g., HB/L, MBL, manifest, customs declarations)
- Perform system data entry and resolve shipment issues
- Communicate with customers, shipping lines, transport teams, and overseas offices for smooth deliveries
- Ensure timely billing and collection of charges from customers or agents
- Follow up on short-landed, damaged, or discrepancy cargo
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Prepare payment vouchers and close shipment files
- Perform other tasks as assigned

- Minimum Diploma qualification
- Knowledge of import/export procedures and freight forwarding
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Willing to work overtime if required
- Strong analytical skills and able to work independently and as part of a team
